This blog is currently linked to a website that has been up for over two years. That website is about losing weight and keeping it off. I started this blog as a way of sharing information about that process with people who were interested. However, the website never really caught on and has remained somewhere at the bottom of all the other millions and millions of diet related websites providing information on the web. Since I tend to blog about what I am interested in and excited about at any given time, and since the diet related website wasn’t working, my attention (and my blog entries) moved on to other more interesting (to me) topics.
Last year, this blog got linked to my Facebook account, so all of my Facebook friends and family have been able to keep up with my blogging (if desired) on FB instead of going out to the website. Much easier and more efficient for my friends and family. And as my blog entries had taken on a more personal note, it was a good decision at the time.
But now I have to face a couple of challenges about this whole process. The first challenge is that it costs about $100 a month to have that old website up and running. There are hosting fees, shopping cart fees, and merchant account fees. It was all set up with the anticipation that I would actually be selling things, but it just didn’t work out that way. In addition, my new web designer (who is working on my new business website) is recommending that I blog on that website, specifically about topics related to that business – which makes sense to me.
So the second challenge is time. There are only so many hours in a week and continuing to write and post two blog entries a week here is not possible for me when I have to add in writing business-related blog entries for my new website. So this will be my last Thursday morning blog entry. I will continue (for the time being) to write and post entries on Monday mornings each week – because I want to keep you all in the loop about how things are going for me. At some point, I will need to address the monthly cost of the old website, and I don’t know how that will effect this blog, but I will keep you posted as I go along. And some way or another, I will stay in touch. Have a great weekend! Enjoy!

I love this site, the setup is neat and really easy to navigate. Did you buy a theme you found on a site or get it custom made? I really like how your comments are laid out as well.

Great ! I hope you will not stop posting new articles. I like the way you write. BTW how did you make the little widget on top of your blog ? Thanks.

My web designer did that with a piece of art that I purchased commercial rights to use. I reversed the purchased image and she built the widget.

It was custom made – several years ago, before it was so easy to by a great theme!
