Group improv is a great thing because it improves your ability to take whatever is offered and make it better. My experience is that given a few players who aren't completely foreign to each other, you can find some small bit of common ground, and build from there. And heck, even the failures teach you something. But the successes! Oh my. They can be real, actual ecstacy. Yes!
